Dan is a classically trained CPG marketer turned CFO with diverse experience running a variety of businesses, including:
-
Fortune 150 brand marketing ($1.8B Kraft Heinz Condiments Portfolio)
-
CPG/food startup (Edward Marc Brands – 6x INC 5000 fastest growing company in America)
-
Consumer retail (The Milk Shake Factory)
Dan is not a career consultant. He knows what it’s like to stress about making payroll, a co-packer shutting down, or a make-or-break Buyer meeting. Learning from these experiences (and sometimes mistakes!) enables him to bring a calm voice and resilient mindset to your business.
He’s worked in almost every function – strategy, marketing, sales, R&D, finance, accounting, and supply chain. Dan was one of the youngest employees to make global partner at Kraft Heinz / 3G Capital and has led large turnarounds, retail expansions, and equity sale processes.
Dan specializes in advising small/middle market CPG and retail companies but is open to discussing other types of businesses to see if there’s a mutual fit. He’s highly selective with any new partnerships and will only take on a client if there’s a clear path to adding significant value. All clients work
directly with Dan, and all relationships are rooted in trust and transparency.
He prides himself on his reputation – most inquiries come from referrals within his network. Doing great work really matters and he is “emotionally
invested” in the client’s success.
Dan holds a BA in Supply Chain Management from The Honors College at Michigan State University and an MBA from Duke University.
Outside of work Dan enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 daughters in their hometown of Ann Arbor, Michigan. Other interests include running,
golf, and anything else outdoors.
